Within the working visit to Vinnytsia region, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met the leaders of local self-government and executive bodies of the flood-stricken districts.
Delivering a speech, A.Yatseniuk underscored the importance of preventive measures. Thus, he deems necessary to include "the objects that protect the territory from the floods" into the governmental program of floodplain management.
A.Yatseniuk also deems necessary to secure regular settlement of the problems of the flood-stricken regions, and provide relevant control over performance of all works related to elimination of consequences of the flood.
